Classroom Post License Courses
The 30 hour Post License course is required for each newly licensed Temporary Salesperson. The course is designed to prepare the licensee for their new career in Real Estate. Real life situations and practical business situations are the foundation of the course. We offer the course in 4 modules and currently offered the course every OTHER Thursday. Each module must be completed within the first 6 months of the licensees first year. Incompletion of the 30 hour post license course during the first 6 months will result in the license being moved to inactive status by the Alabama Real Estate Commission until completion of the course. The most important date for a new licensee to know is the date the license was issued. This date is the date the 6 month clock begins to tick. There can be no exceptions to the 6 month rule.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
A SALESPERSON applicant must:
• Prior to taking the state exam, successfully complete an approved 60 clock hour prelicense course. (Salesperson applicants have 12 months to pass the state exam after completing this course; if not, the course must be retaken) AND
• Must complete a 30 hour post license training course within the first twelve months of licensure in order to be issued an original (permanent) license. Further, the course must be completed and original license issued within the first six months in order to maintain an active license.

If you hold a current license in another state, you may obtain a reciprocal license by doing the following:
• Submit with the application an official “Certification of Licensure” form (license history) showing you hold a current license in another state. This certification can be obtained from the Real Estate Commission office in that state. This certification must have been issued within 90 days of our receipt of your reciprocal license application.
• Complete the reciprocal license application and submit it with the required attachments and fees.

Course and Final Exam Must be completed before any credit can be given.
The Final Exam must be taken and passed with a 70%. Once the student has completed the 30-hour Post License course the final exam can be scheduled.

Please Note... Credit cannot be given for the course until the exit exam is passed. This must be completed before the 6 month deadline or the license will become inactive. Don’t let this happen, if you are not sure when your 6 months is up ask your broker or check the Alabama Real Estate Commission's Website.
